Saying that horses brought Brayen and Icha together is almost an understatement, as they were both passionate about horses practically from the day they were born.

They both come from a different background though. To start with horses: Icha grew up with the horse race sport, as where Brayen grew up with the equestrian sport. Speaking about the people in their life, they also come from different backgrounds. Icha comes from an intercultural Indonesian family, and Brayen from an international family relationship.

They probably met for the first time, without knowing, before they attended elementary school, at the Cikidang racetrack in Lembang. However, it was not until some 16 years later that they really started to see and know each other.

It was Icha’s father who first came into Brayen’s life, in the year 2012. He sponsored Brayen at the final of the FEI World Jumping Challenge in Caracas and travelled together with Icha’s mother to Venezuela. Ever since, their partnership continued to grow and Brayen and Icha started to meet more often, as Icha began to watch equestrian competitions.

However, it was not until Brayen moved to the Netherlands, to train with Pak Eddy’s horses there, that they started to fall in love. This long-distance relationship, that started in 2013, was not always easy, but their mutual passion and love have conquered all challenges of each long-distance separation they went through.

Finally, the day has come to witness our beloved daughter Icha and our beloved son Brayen getting married.
